3 am and I was up and finalizing my packing, getting dressed and making sure that I was prepared for the 12+ hour drive to Fl. Kristy showed up at 5am packed up the car and off we were driving nonstop down the east coast.

But lets back track a second……

I arrived in Va thinking that I was only going to be there for a couple of days and I thought I would head to Miami and move into my new home and start hitting the ground in the work that the Lord has called me to do! Ummm…do you see the trend in what i just wrote…there are many “I’s” in there and I planned everything….I am realizing that as much as I can plan if it is not what the Lord wants me to do then it WILL be changed!! HE changes things tremendously…..God changed all the I’s to Him…He had me stay in Va another 2 weeks and it was an amazing time with family and friends. God allowed me to stay and help my mom around the house, spend time with my brothers, pick out paint with my sister in Christ Sherrie and I was there for my step sisters wedding. God allowed me to stop listen to Him and focus on what was really important…Trust and Faith in HIM!! I came up against alot of doubt and opposition from people that kept telling me that I was crazy to go to Miami on the grounds that I am – Support Based Missions. But I thought to myself I’d be crazy not to go, God tells you somethingto do…..you obey!

So back to the present……

Here I am in Palm Bay Florida sitting with family and thinking thru the drive down – God set it up perfectly the weather was great, there was no traffick and of course the company was great. I left my home in Va with tears in my eyes and saying “See Ya” to my mom and friends – I looked over at Kristy and thought here we go again traveling down the road following what the Lord has told us to do – the closer we got to Miami the more my heart started to beat and the excitment I felt when I left for Chicago was tingling thru my veins. As we traveled further and further south I saw the spanish moss and the palm trees and again I said YES Lord this is exactly what you want me to do. Not bc of the things that I saw but because I just knew that this is what HE wants me to do!! It something that I can’t really explain but something that you will have to expereince on your own! This is what he wants for me and from me……Please continue to pray for Kristy and I as we continue to follow the Lord’s leading…..

I love my familly and I love being comfortable but I love my God more!
