It seems like Memorial Day always sneaks up on me and catches me unprepared to truly appreciate those who have sacrificed so much for the freedoms our country enjoy and for the life we are able to have. I am also at a loss or words when I think of what my grandfathers, uncles, father and so many other men and women have experienced in the struggle to retain what they believe in and to protect their homes and ours.
